First steps

The background information

Every single SAM Articulator has the same construction situation. In length, width and height, each Articulatore is built according to the same concept. This is a great advantage of this system. From the beginnings in the university to the final steps in your own laboratory or practice, you can use each articulator for your own workflow. With AxioPrisa and AxioSnapMount, this path is now more and more complete. Thanks to the precise design of our articulators, you can use the AxioSnapMount system in your articulator without axiosplit.

What is additionally needed or needs to be prepared.

As a rule, you will need a commercially available SAM articulator with our screw system or magnet system. You can now use this to mount your AxioSnapMount spacer blocks in your articulator. To prepare the models, it is important that you order a license code from one of our dealers. You can find the installation file on our website directly on the AxioSnapMount page. Download and install this installation file.

How to install the software?

To download and install our AxioSnapMount Software, download the install file from our website. At the moment it is only supported by Windows systems. After downloading the install file, double click on the *.exe file and follow the install instruction. In our video section you find a video about the installing process.

How can I activate my AxioSnapMount license?

After you have installed and opened our AxioSnapMount software, you will need to enter all your data for your own account. After this step we will send you a verification email with a link for activation. After activating your account with the link, you can go back to the AxioSnapMount software and enter your license key. In our video section you find a video about the process.

With what is the AxioSnapMount license bound to?

The AxioSnapMount license is bound to both your email address and the computer it is installed on. If you change either your email address or your computer, please contact us so we can change your license.

How can I import my files and which file formats are supported by the ASM software?

Our Software guides you to the final models. After your first steps in AxioSnapMount software, you find fast the import step. At this step, you can see the Import button on the right top side. At the import you can choose all three files and the Software bring the scan files to the right position. If the Software was wrong, click one of the switch button and turn the scan file.

Will be the software also available in other languages?

Right now, the software is only available in english, as it is the commen international language in denistry in the world. But for sure we want to please our valued customers, especially those who deligate the work in the clinic to colleagues who don't know so well the english language. We expect to get in 2023 a release in german, spanish, portugese, italian, russian, japanese and chinese. Depending on the request on other countries, further languages may follow sooner or later. We will let you know what happened if you subscribe to our newsletter.

Can I reuse the mounting plates?

The yellow mounting plates are made of a special plastic that meets the requirements for a medical device. They can be autoclaved and recycled, but we recommend using them only once, otherwise the accuracy of the matching cannot be guaranteed. The plates also serve to ensure that the model can be stored for a long time and remains stable. It is better to buy new, just look in our shop.

Which 3D printer do I need for AxioSnapMount?

After the processing in the software, you can export the files to *.stl files. This file format can be read by any 3D printer. So you can choose this printer what you like.

Can I use any Intraoral scan?

In general, you can use any intra-oral-scanner. It is just important that you can export afterwards an open .stl or .ply -file. But we recommend you to use the 3shape Trios, as we cooperate since the start in 2013 and all test were made and based on the Trios. Another good choice is the Medit i500, i600 or i700. If you use any other brand, feel free to get in contact with u and we elaborate together a solution. Don't hesitate.
